Our Mission
Over the past several years, the demand for sustainable products, services and business models to advance global sustainability has expanded dramatically. However, the pace and scale of these efforts far lags what will be required to meet the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030, if at all.
Fueled by the existential implications of not achieving the Goals, and the core belief that we can fundamentally improve our chances of achieving the SDGs, the US Coalition on Sustainability was formed. Our vision rests on the belief that the disparate, stovepipe, inefficient and often redundant approaches that characterize sustainability efforts today must be replaced with vastly simplified cross-cutting ways to drive needed change within and across industry supply chains. The high bar for success hinges on achieving a new level of organizational engagement that is more unified, concerted and multi-stakeholder than ever before, and is powered by digital machine learning.
With guidance from Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed, world-renowned economist Jeffrey Sachs and support from the Blue Chip Foundation, we created both an executional blueprint and platform for making this vision a reality.
