Manik Suri, Rasha Hashaneen and Rophenia Crawley Join the US Coalition on Sustainability Board of Directors

The US Coalition on Sustainability is excited to welcome Manik Suri, Dr. Rasha Hasaneen and Rophenia Crawley to its Board of Directors. They join at a critical moment in the coalition’s journey as it accelerates the adoption of SustainChain, the world’s first public utility platform for climate action and sustainability.

“Solving the complex challenges of rebuilding global supply chains has never been a more urgent need – and the momentum of activity and collaboration occurring on SustainChain shows how an AI-for-good platform can drive more rapid and collective action,” said Jacqueline Corbelli, Founder and CEO of the US Coalition on Sustainability. “The background and achievements that each of these people bring to our Board are a fantastic fit for the persistent leadership our organization will need to make a uniquely powerful and lasting difference in global sustainability.”

Manik Suri is an entrepreneur, investor and policy expert scaling technologies to combat climate change. He is Founder and CEO of GlacierGrid, a high-growth technology startup that helps businesses reduce their energy consumption and environmental impact. Previously, Manik co-founded GovLab, a leading innovation center at New York University that develops technology to improve government. He is also a former Affiliate at Harvard’s Berkman Center for Internet and Society and Visiting Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania. Earlier, he held positions at global investment firm D. E. Shaw & Company and the White House National Economic Council.

Dr. Rasha Hasaneen is a seasoned executive and innovation leader with a proven track record in product management, product marketing, engineering, strategy, planning, and lean thinking. Most recently, she led a $1B+ product portfolio and 300-person team as Chief Product and Sustainability Officer for AspenTech, a global software leader helping asset-intensive industries improve their operations while achieving sustainability goals. Prior to AspenTech, Dr. Hasaneen worked in a number of capacities for top-tier brands including Trane Technologies, General Electric, SAP, Hitachi Ventara, and General Motors. Dr. Hasaneen currently sits on the Advisory Board for Venture4Climatetech and the One Earth Leadership Consortium.

Rophenia Crawley is an experienced attorney who has counseled clients on matters involving venture capital, private equity, securities, mergers, antitrust, aerospace, intellectual property, energy, risk, governance and regulatory compliance. Her support for the SDGs includes championing patient protection and healthcare reform with the White House and serving on committees in her local community to eradicate poverty. Rophenia’s Board experience includes serving as former President of Thomas Jefferson’s Poplar Forest and as a Board member for the Boys and Girls Club in Virginia. In addition, she has served in the Obama administration in the White House Office of Presidential Correspondence preparing daily reports for the President.

The coalition’s other board members include: George Hornig, Chairman of the Board at Xometry; Kristin Mannion, Founder and CEO of Aura Leadership and Development; Mitra Best, Technology Impact Officer at PwC; Julie Kae, Vice President of Sustainability and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Qlik; and Chris Carey, former Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at City National Bank.
